Eight years, two very different paths, and one conversation that finally caught up with itself.

Eight years ago, Adam photographed Mackie and one of her bands. There wasn't much interaction between them then, and neither of them could have known that their paths would one day cross again in a way that would change both of their lives.
Life took them in very different directions. They each set out into the world on their own, exploring, growing, learning, and moving through the challenges that shaped who they would become. And somewhere along the way, when the timing was finally right, their paths found each other again.
When Mackie ran into Adam years later, she instantly remembered him. And more than anything, she was drawn to the heart she began to see in him: his curiosity about the world, his care for the people around him, and the way he moved through life with an open heart.
What began as a connection across distance quickly became something neither of them expected. For months, they traded long voice memos back and forth, getting to know each other without ever seeing one another face-to-face. They jokingly called this chapter Love Is Blind, complete with their own episodes filled with deep, uncomfortable and vulnerable questions And the kind of conversations that asked them to show up as honestly as possible.
They fell in love with each other's minds, hearts, stories, dreams, and quirks before they ever sat across from one another.

Then came the day they finally met. Mackie flew from Kailua, Hawaii, to Coeur d' Alene Idaho and met Adam in the grass at McEuen Park. They talked for hours, as if they were simply continuing a conversation that had already been going on for months. Eventually they went back to Adam's home and cooked up some ravioli.
And somehow, that was enough. The rest, as they say, was history.
From that first meeting, something felt unmistakably familiar. They began weaving their lives together, learning how to love each other not just in the beautiful moments, but through the messy, challenging, growing ones too. What they found in each other was not perfection, but a partnership that invited them both to become more fully themselves.
Together, they dream of a life filled with family, adventure, travel, meaningful work, deep connection, and bringing people together. They share a belief that life is meant to be lived with curiosity, courage, and an open heart — and that love is one of the greatest ways we get to experience it.
When they look back, they keep coming back to the same feeling: how incredibly grateful they are. Grateful for every winding road, every challenge, every season that shaped them, and every moment that brought them closer to the place where their paths could finally meet.
Eight years after their story first crossed, Adam and Mackie are choosing each other for the journey ahead. And they couldn't be more excited for everything still to come.
